Orange Beef and Broccoli
Fresh orange juice makes this sauce fresh and fragrant. A simple nutrient dense one pan meal.
Cook Rice

| 1 cup | short grain white rice |
| 1 ⅓ cup | water |
Rinse rice and drain well. Place in a pot with water and medium-high heat. Once boiling, stir one last time and cover with a lid. Reduce heat to low and let cook 25 minutes, or until rice is cooked.
Make Sauce

| 3 medium | orange |
| 2 clove | garlic |
| 2 inch | ginger |
| 2 Tbsp. | tamari or soy sauce |
| 1 Tbsp. | cornstarch |
| 2 tsp. | sriracha or chili paste |
| 2 Tbsp. | water |
Zest 2 oranges (about 1 tablespoon). Squeeze juice from 2-3 oranges (1 1/2 cup). Mince garlic and ginger. Whisk ingredients together.
Prepare Ingredients

| 1 medium | yellow onion |
| 1 medium head | broccoli |
| ½ bunch | green onion |
Dice onion. Chop broccoli in to 1/2” pieces (bite sized). Thinly slice green onions.
Cook

| 1 Tbsp. | olive oil |
| ½ cup | ground beef |
| 1 tsp. | five spice powder |
Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until starting to brown, about 6-8 minutes.
Add beef and continue cooking, breaking apart as you go, until browned 10 minutes .
Add Chinese five spice, broccoli and sauce and cook about 5 minutes , until broccoli is tender and sauce has thickened.
Serve

Serve over rice and garnish with green onions.
